The WHY Behind TReignHouse

Ryley Humrighouse

A little background about me: I played baseball my entire life growing up and have been involved with the weight room for 11+ years. I attended Colby Community College for 2 years, where I then transferred to Minot State University and had the opportunity to play for 3 more. While I have always loved baseball and continue to love being part of the sport, it wasn’t until I changed majors my junior year of college that I realized my true passion is the weight room, health, and fitness.

It took me a while to realize it, but when playing, I was fixated on getting stronger; obviously for the purpose of being better at baseball at the time. I spent endless hours in the weight room doing my own work in addition to what we did as a team, and while this did make me one of the strongest on whatever team I was on, I was never the one to hit the ball the furthest or throw the ball the hardest. It did help me in overall athleticism and grittiness, but I thought there must be something missing here. There must be some reason that my strength isn't translating to the field. Hence comes the mission of TReignHouse.

I have made it my purpose to aid these collegiate athletes, who have just 4-5 short years to get the most out of their collegiate baseball experience or try to get to the next level, in leveraging their time in the weight room to get the most out of their athletic potential and become the best baseball players they can. There is an art behind volume control, strength and power development in multiple planes, arm care, intensity, speed, agility, overall athleticism, and robustness, and it is my mission to find the perfect balance of all of it; all while keeping athletes healthy.

It excites me to think about the progress we have made as an industry and how much knowledge there is out there that can be applied to helping these athletes become the best version of themselves. After my experiences over the past few years and results I have seen with the athletes I've worked with, I feel very comfortable and excited to apply that knowledge to my own opportunities with athletes across the country, and what better way to reach the most athletes than to find a way to effectively do it online.
